insurance
Tampa Bay Concierge Psychology is an out-of-network provider and a private-pay practice. This means I do not accept any kind of insurance, and you will pay for your sessions in full, out of pocket. I use private pay because it keeps your info private. It skips third-party paperwork, so I can focus on what you need, not what insurance requires.
superbills
I can provide a superbill as needed. A superbill is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Some clients with PPO insurance plans receive partial reimbursement, but to be sure, it’s best to call your provider directly.
cancellations
I understand that life happens. But a missed appointment takes up valuable time and may keep me from helping someone else in need. It may also point to a concern we need to talk about more in-depth.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please allow at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or reschedules. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full session fee. If our office is closed, please email me directly.
What to Expect When You Begin
Step 5: Continue the Work & Heal
Healing doesn’t happen all at once, and that’s okay. As we move forward, I’ll keep checking in on what’s working and what’s not. Some sessions might feel like big breakthroughs, while others are “slower” but just as important. I’ll adjust your goals when needed, handle whatever life brings, and make sure therapy continues to support you in the ways you need most.
Step 1: Book Your Initial Intake Session
The first step is to book a 90-minute intake session. This is your time to share your story, talk about what is on your mind, and set goals that matter to you. Most clients book online through our secure platform for privacy and convenience.
Step 2: Complete Your Intake Paperwork
After you schedule your appointment, you will receive an email with paperwork to complete before your first session. This helps us learn more about your history and what is important to you before we meet.
Step 3: Attend Your Intake Session
During your first personalized therapy session, I’ll meet you virtually (unless you request I come to you). You can speak openly and without judgment. I’ll discuss your challenges and what you hope to change. Then, I’ll begin building a diagnosis if needed, set personalized goals, and review office policies so you know what to expect.
Step 4: Schedule Ongoing Sessions
After your intake, I’ll schedule future private therapy sessions together during your appointments. I make sure therapy fits your life and pace. Whether you prefer virtual sessions or in-person visits, you’ll have flexibility and support.
Frequently asked questions
How long is the therapy process?
Therapy isn’t the same for everyone. That’s why I provide private, concierge care for you. Some clients notice changes in just a few sessions. Others may take several months to see benefits. It all depends on your current situation, goals, and the pace that feels most comfortable. I’ll regularly check in and adjust your treatment plan to make sure it’s the right fit for you.
I’m not sure what I need—can you still help?
Absolutely. My job is to figure out what you need to move forward in life. Whether you’re seeking the in-person trauma therapy Tampa offers or virtual support for anxiety, perfectionism, or trauma, I’ll start where you are.
How do you track progress in therapy?
This is a team effort. I’ll regularly check in on how you’re feeling and whether the changes you want are happening. I sometimes use tools or assessments to measure progress. But mostly, I focus on how you’re feeling. I look at changes in your mind and emotions. Then, I adjust your plan to keep therapy effective and meaningful for you.
What happens in the first session?
The intake session is 90 minutes and sets the foundation for our work together. Your first therapy session expectations include talking through what’s been going on, sharing any relevant history, and identifying what you’d like to shift. You don’t need to have everything figured out; We’ll do that together.
Is this virtual or in-person?
Most clients book virtual sessions, but I can come to you if you are located in the Tampa Bay area. Whether we meet online or face-to-face, the trauma therapy Tampa clients receive is always personalized, private, and built to fit your real life.
What if I want in-person, but I'm not in Tampa?
While I primarily offer in-person sessions in the Tampa Bay area, I’m open to traveling for special circumstances—such as a one-time family session or event outside the area. If travel is required, there would be an additional fee to cover time and travel expenses (like mileage, flights, or hotel stays). If this sounds like something you’d need, feel free to reach out, and we can talk through the details.
What if I travel often or have an unpredictable schedule?
If you travel often or have a busy, unpredictable schedule, that’s okay. I offer flexible session options. Virtual appointments make it easy to connect from wherever you are. I’ll find a schedule that fits your life. This way, therapy can stay regular and stress-free.
